Description | Purpose and Theory of Action | Goals | Process for Collaborating School Leadership Teams

Goals

1. Achieve clarity on a process of schooling as a prerequisite for historically low-performing student-of-color populations (i.e., African American, Latino, Native American, and South East Asian) to reach high academic standards.

By clarity, we refer to the ability to inform parents, patrons and policy makers in terms that they appreciate and understand exactly what every student, and in particular students of color, will be able to demonstrate as a consequence of their school experience.

Who: Historically low-performing student-of-color populations (i.e., African American, Latino, Native American, and South East Asian).

What: Achievement gains in relation to high academic standards as demonstrated on multiple measures and as a result of students and their support systems (families) being more connected to and engaged with the school.

How: Studied experimentation with culturally relevant curricular, instructional and assessment practices/strategies for targeted group(s).
