The Summit for Courageous Conversation brings together dedicated anti-racist educators and equity leaders from across the nation in an engaged, deepened, and sustained conversation on the impact of race on today's students.
The Summit is a two and one-half day conference for educators interested in building equity that focuses on practical applications for Courageous Conversation, Critical Race Theory, Organizational Learning, Systems Thinking and Equity/Anti-Racist Leadership. Additionally offered is a two-day pre-Summit that includes your choice of an introduction to Courageous Conversation About Race, a deepening of your understanding and skills around Courageous Conversation, and/or service learning opportunities in local schools and the community.
The location of our Summit changes each year based on our PEG client needs, current events, issues and trends in our Equity work. As we work to spread the word of Equity and Courageous Conversations About Race nationally and internationally, we recognize that with each location comes an opportunity to understand the issues from a slightly different point of view and regional perspective. This year, uur 2012 Summit will be hosted in San Antonio, TX as the southwest is critical in our efforts to engage more Latinos in this work.
